Project Description: After the Delray Beach Public Library relocated to West Atlantic Avenue, its former site on SE 4th Avenue became available for redevelopment. The CRA issued an RFP (Request for Proposals) to solicit development proposals in 2006, but the selected project eventually became a casualty of the nationwide recession and real estate market collapse.

The Waterstone Resort & Marina in Boca Raton, a DoubleTree by Hilton, has recently been renovated with a modern design. Located centrally between Palm Beach and Ft. Lauderdale, this hotel known previously as the ‘Boca Bridge Hotel’ reopened in May.
An under developed resource located north of Delray Beach's historic will see new life soon. The 12-acre lot containing a dilapidated train station is slated for development as a family-friendly, 284-apartment complex. Incentives for the community include plans for a cyber cafe, fitness center, and bicycle repair shop.
Woodfield Country Club, one of the area’s premier residential communities with world-class resort amenities, has announced a $23.75 million renovation plan that will begin in 2015 and continue for approximately two-three years. The renovation plan includes new and expanded card rooms, an interior design refresh in the main clubhouse and dining areas, along with an overhaul of the fitness, aquatics, poolside dining and child care areas. A major addition is a new building and play area for use by younger members of the country club including teens and children.
New construction proposals may be on the horizon as a need for more homes spreads across golf courses west of Boca Raton. Some speculate that fairways and putting greens will be repurposed for these neighborhoods. The latest clubs to experience a housing shortage are Boca Dunes Golf and Country Club and Boca Greens Country Club.
Astaldi Construction of Davie, Florida broke ground on the new construction of I-95's newest interchange at Spanish River Boulevard. Besides the new exit at Spanish River in East Boca Raton, work includes widening Spanish River Boulevard west of FAU Boulevard, constructing 13 bridges between Spanish River Boulevard and Yamato Road, signalized intersection improvements and the addition of auxiliary lanes on Yamato Road, and sound wall construction along Yamato Road and on the east side of I-95 north of Yamato Road. When the $66.7 million project is finished in late 2016, it will give Boca Raton its fifth I-95 interchange and provide Florida Atlantic University direct access to and from the highway. The 261-unit Camden Boca Raton complex is still under construction, at 131 S. Federal Highway. The Mark at CityScape is also a work in progress, located just behind 120 E. Palmetto Park Road. When completed it will have 208 units. Advertisers are promoting the Camden will be ready for occupancy as soon as this summer. Though the 12-story Mark is projecting an opening early next year.
